10+ Years of Happy Customers

Reviews, Testimonials, and Case Studies

The lifeblood of my business is word of mouth and testimonials from happy customers.

"In seven months, I’ve closed 3 deals that total a little over $20,000 – directly from the leads in the newsletter. All three of these projects have led to long-term clients that continue to come back to me, so the value of these contracts continues to grow. One of the clients wanted a front-end developer, and now I am helping him build a travel booking engine. It has been a small but on-going project worth about $2,000 every month. Another client runs a successful e-Learning web application. I wrapped up the work that was in the scope of the project a few weeks ago, and just the other day, the client contacted me to see if I was available to take on some more work.

The discussions I've had on the community have proven incredibly valuable, and have done a lot to improve my response-rate when emailing leads, my technique for following up, as well as my business in general. Truth be told, I probably could have gotten even more work through the newsletter, but when I am very busy, I am selective about which leads I contact. It’s possible to actually wind up with more work than I can handle through this! :-)

Update: BTW, I just closed another lead from the newsletter, a deal to subcontract for a design agency. Its really great what you’re doing!"

"At first I was worried about the lead quality and quantity. If the leads weren’t a good match for my services or there wasn’t enough of them then the service wouldn’t have worked for me. Once I figured out my process it made it easy to compliment my own lead generation process. Every week there was a good chance that at least one lead in the newsletter could use my services. The best thing about the newsletter is that it runs on email so it’s easy to process, archive, or save. If I get busy I can leave it alone until I have time for it.

Leads grouped by type which lets me ignore the ones that don’t apply to me. The additional contact information makes it easier to find the actual people behind the project. The educational content around writing better emails and other topics help me improve my own process. It’s a great service to supplement other forms of marketing because it requires very little time. It’s especially valuable if someone is checking job boards by hand because there are a lot of full-time and non-remote leads that you’d have to filter out.

In less than a year I’ve won close to $65,000 in projects from this newsletter alone. All of them have become repeat clients who I expect would be buying additional services over the next few years."

"I like to focus on projects that are particularly interesting to me, and fit my skill set well so I was reluctant to sign up at first. But amongst the work I scored from the newsletter last year were two projects that have now blossomed into amazing client relationships and tens of thousands of dollars… with no end in sight. I was really on the fence about signing up (and freelancing in general), but I’ve gotten over my imposter-syndrome at this point and realize I can compete and score some of these great leads.

I can honestly say that being a customer of yours for the past year-ish has made me a much smarter (and better) freelancer. I’m crushing it – well into 6 figures in revenues this year, and exceeding my “projections” by like 50% (absurd!). I haven’t been doing this that long, but I’m very confident in my abilities as a businessman, client relationship manager (and of course, designer)."

"At first I was unsure about whether the ROI would be worth the monthly cost. But after joining I realized the “potential” ROI is enormous and worth the cost. I like that while I get leads covering various types of work, they are grouped by those types of work making it easier to find the leads for the type of work I focus on. I’ve also been about to practice emailing people, get out of my head and realize that I am just sending an email and the worse thing that can happen is that it will go unread. It’s opened my eyes to the amount of work that is actually available, and not just what was represented by recruiter. This realization that networking events and referrals aren’t the only ways to get leads and work has been huge for my mindset. It is vital to teaching people that they can find work for themselves, especially those who have relied on others, like friends and recruiters, for so many years."

"My subscription has been a god-send. When I first started, I had been working as a designer for some time, but only had a few off-hand freelance contracts. Because of the opportunities I found on the newsletter, I found the means and confidence to try freelancing full-time. Since then, I’ve been able to land two other contracts – one with a consumer-facing startup called BenchSentry trying to launch their first mobile app and another with Harvard Medical School. For the first time in my career, I feel like I’m doing the right type of work. I cannot thank you enough! I’ve been hesitant on subscribing to Folyo because it made freelancing all-too real and meant that I had to commit to freelancing for the long term. But I’m finally ready to dive deeper!"

“As an agency owner there are always going to be ebbs and flows. But landing this project helps us better plan for the future. This is a six-figure contract. It's by far the biggest project we’ve landed. And that’s really helped us calm the stress. I can definitely say without having access to this project we’d still be in the same place we were a few years ago. Pretty incredible.

The biggest part that I was surprised about was that they’d only received 6 proposals. I attribute that to your system. For a team of 3 this will allow us to grow. It’s going to pay our salaries and put money in the bank.”

"You sent me an email about a project on Tuesday and by the following day I had a back and forth conversation with the client. Thursday we had a call about the project and by Monday we started actually working together on it. It was a really fast process. I've been a freelancer for quite a while and most of the projects that I've had in the past, I've found through word of mouth or coworkers. But this newsletter has been really great, almost more like getting projects via word of mouth rather than applying to random jobs or working with recruiters. This is a really great community that you're starting and building up."

"I’m starting to build an on-going relationship with clients. The day I took the Newsletter for a test drive, here’s how it went down: 8:30 am – signed up. 9:21 am - sent first email to lead. 10:22 am - had phone interview with lead. 10:40 am - received W-9 and project contract. If this sounds ridiculous, it’s because it is. And it actually happened. Because of this newsletter I’m starting to build an on-going relationship with a client, which is beyond worth the cost. I typically don’t do reviews, rate things, etc, but this has to be said: this newsletter is an incredibly EFFECTIVE tool, and a must-have for freelancers. Thanks so much!"

"Being from outside the US, I was intimidated. I signed up for the newsletter because it sounded like a dream way to receive possible leads. I hesitated but ended up ordering within a week. Robert wrote in one of his first emails, that it takes time and practice to actually land a project, and that it can take weeks or even months. I had no problem with that. Nevertheless, I landed my first project after just 4 or 5 days. The monthly cost of the newsletter is covered already, and I still have weeks left from my first month. I’ll keep being a subscriber, thanks Robert!"

"Since using the newsletter I have seen excellent results toward bringing in new business. I was able to start a connection with a lead that has brought in over $2700 in projects, with more planned in the near future. I'm also in talks with another great organization that may result in ongoing projects as well. I read through every newsletter and typically follow up with one each day. It lets me put to rest how I get clients so that I'm able to focus on automating this part of my business."

Before signing up for Endless Clients I was struggling to build a sustainable lead gen system for my design business. I made so many things wrong along the way.

But then during the course I realized how to build steady lead gen system that works on autopilot and how to make and irresistible offer to attract clients. Rob also provided a lot of very useful scripts and tools in the course. If you're looking for clarity on how to build creative business that's what you need.

"My clients were always my priority but when I had too much client work, I neglected sales activities and my pipeline suffered. Since starting with your Leads Newsletter, I've had an unbroken chain of daily lead generation activity no matter what. I use my inbox as a to-do list and every week that leads email is a convenient reminder to get selling."

"On the first day I contacted three prospective clients and got three emails back. One of those communications turned into a solid gig. It's totally worth it so far. A big part of why it's worth it to me to pay $97/mo for leads is that I know they'll be 100% freelance-friendly leads and I don't have to think about whether it makes sense for me to apply or not. Again, I'm really loving the Leads Newsletter so far, and thanks for creating it. I look forward to continuing to use it for a long time."

"Man you are really kicking (butt). I feel like you're doing all of the work and I just get to be all la-tee-da over picking who I reach out to. Keep up the good work! I've been super pleased with my choice to invest in this Newsletter. You've proven to be a low-risk way to get more leads to my door and as a busy owner, you're exactly the type of person I want to work with for a long time. Please don't stop!"

"On the first day I used this, I contacted 3 prospective clients and got three emails back. One of those turned into a solid gig. It's totally worth it so far. A big reason why is that I know they'll be 100% freelance-friendly frontend leads and I don't have to do any thinking about whether it makes sense for me to apply or not. Thanks for creating this Newsletter!"

"I feels absolutely amazing not having to check job boards. Wading through all the crappy jobs to find the good ones was tough enough. I'm no longer stressed about what comes next. The leads in the newsletter are amazing and I look forward to your email every week. Thanks for a wonderful project."

"You did all the legwork. Great job filtering down to just the people who really met the detailed requirements. The icing on the cake was the interview recordings – which made it a really efficient process for us."

"Up until now I’ve been relying on word-of-mouth for work and this has been a nice easy way to start up the lead generation process without wasting time filtering through all the junk I was worried about."

"I decided that if I was serious about moving forward with my business, then creating a functional and minimal system for finding leads and reaching out to them, without dedicating all of my time to it, was of the utmost importance. I can keep brainstorming how to do it, while endlessly researching different software and approaches, but eventually I knew that I had to step up and begin to make the change."

"You've built up a lot of authority in my mind after the years you've been teaching bits and pieces. And truthfully while all the bullet points sounded good I think the one about "how a VA could do this for you" made me go "shoooooot.”

Jared M.

"I recognize that finding clients is not something I’m efficient at and it’s not something that comes naturally to me. I’ve been running my business for nearly 14 years and not struggled to find projects thankfully. I’m interested in building a repeatable process to improve this area of my business"

"I've been impressed with the quality of leads I’ve received from your methods and want to learn more as I position myself to better find and support clients."

"I am a firm believer of niching down and I've just recently pulled the plug on focusing just on the Fintech niche, which isn't much of a niche per se but it's a good start. I like how this seems super focused on providing help and guidance on getting clients in a niche and decided to invest in it to see how much value it can bring."

"I've been impacted negatively by COVID-19. I've lost client work and am looking to get some ideas on how to make sure I'm not in a position where I'm at the mercy of an economic downturn. I understand that this situation is unique for all of us, but want to better prepare myself."

Tracy H.

"I am currently working full time at a company who does not value my work and I work part time freelancing and working on side projects. I do not have a set way to acquire clients consistently. This will give me what I need to move to freelancing full time and to consistently have client work to pull from."
